Revive Your Walk With God While Getting In Shape

“I only prayed when I was desperate.”

“I was always worried.”

“I was in a rut.”

“I read the Bible but didn’t dig to find understanding.”

Can you relate? We’ve all been there.

You’ve tried everything – waking up earlier, reading books, joining Bible studies. But your tank is still empty.

“Is this all there is?”

Friend, you’ve come to the right place. I’m here to tell you there IS more! There is hope. 🥰

A personal testimony:

Those first lines are quotes from Scott and Susan, two of my amazing challenge participants. Here’s a glimpse into their worlds:

  • Since childhood, Susan learned to be afraid of God, so she distanced herself from Him. She didn’t want to have anything to do with church or religion.
  • Scott’s been a dedicated Sunday school teacher for over 35 years, pouring into his church family and leading others to Christ.

Though their stories are vastly different, BOTH Scott and Susan experienced a life-changing transformation through the Forty Forty Challenge. And I’m not just talking physical. God filled their emptiness to overflowing and breathed new life into their relationship with Him. Keep reading to hear the specific breakthroughs they experienced.

How does this apply to me?

That transformation is not out of reach for you.

A life of worry, fear, and going through the motions is not the abundant life God intended for you.

Scott, Susan, 10,000+ transformed participants, and I care deeply about your well-being and your relationship with God. There is NOTHING more important. I will do everything in my power to help you nourish it. (Click here to learn more about me!

You’re not too stuck or distant. You can change the direction of your story.

What Is The Forty Forty Challenge?

The Forty Forty Challenge is a 40-day virtual Christian run/walk challenge. It’s the wake-up call Christians have needed for a long time, and it’s finally here!

👣“How far will I walk?”

Every day for 40 days, you walk or run one mile, spending intentional time studying Scripture and focusing on God. By the end, you’ll have conquered 40 miles and gained transformation in your physical health, mental clarity, and your walk with God. (no pun intended 🤭)

📖 “What should I do on these walks?”

I’ll send you a Challenge packet with a Scripture reading plan for every day. As you run or walk, listen to or read the passage for each day. As you read, let your mind be open to what God might say to you. Spend the rest of the mile talking and listening to Him.

🥾“Is it hard?”

This Christian walking challenge is just that – a challenge. It’s designed to push you out of your comfort zone. But the reward you gain is invaluable, and when you taste it, you’ll wonder why you ever questioned it in the first place.

🪴 “Is this for new believers or for people who’ve walked with God a long time?”

Yes! Whether you’re just starting a Jesus-first lifestyle, or you’ve hit a faith plateau after many years, the Forty Forty Challenge is for you. It stretches your faith to new depths no matter how young or experienced you are.

🤸“Do I need to have a certain fitness level?”

Not at all! If you’re able to walk, do so as quickly or slowly as you’d like. If it’s chilly outside or difficult to get out, walk on a treadmill or indoor track.

If you’re unable to walk, find a physical fitness activity you can do for 20 minutes a day and use that time to focus on Christ.

👫“Can I invite others?”

Of course! If you hate being alone (looking at all you extroverts 👀) invite some close friends, a small group, or family to do it with you. This virtual Christian challenge forges unbreakable bonds.

So how does this Christian walking challenge actually help you

Accountability – You Don’t Walk Alone in This Challenge

Remember when you committed strongly and determinedly to something? We’ve all done it. 😂

Not a half-hearted commitment like those other times, but actually for real this time.

You’ve had enough.

This time – no, seriously, this time– you WILL stick to that diet.

Nothing can sway you.

You WILL go to the gym.

You WILL wake up early to read your Bible.

So... How’s that working out for you?

When you’re the only one holding yourself accountable, it’s easy to look the other way.

The Forty Forty Challenge has a built-in safety net. When you sign up for a challenge, you’re added to a private Facebook Community.

This is a private, safe group where you’re welcome to talk about anything on your heart during the challenge. It could be a question about what you’re reading, a prayer request, a new thought God showed you, etc. These are friends you’ll wish you had met a long time ago.

What makes this group special?

  • They’re down-to-earth, Jesus-loving individuals who will do whatever it takes to get you to victory. Literally. Whatever it takes.
  • Each one is genuinely proud of you and cheering for you. You can trust them.
  • You can move forward confidently knowing there’s an army standing behind you.
  • They’re brimming with encouragement and support for the days you’re not feeling it.
  • It’s safe. Real people open up about real things without fear of judgment.

Remember Scott? Here’s what he has to say about our awesome little community:

“I see how many brothers and sisters in Christ are doing the same thing, going through the same issues, and how this challenge has blessed them. They continually reminded me why I was doing the challenge and lifted me up to continue on when I thought about slacking off.”

**A note to the one who feels alone:

Whatever you’re facing at this moment, don’t keep fighting alone. Our community is all about vulnerability and being real – you will NOT be judged. Allow God’s imperfect, growing, wonderfully diverse family to come around you and support you. 🫶

Jesus Habits – Turn Your World Right Side Up

I’m going to ask you two questions. Let’s see if I can guess your answers.

Question #1: What’s most important in your life?
Answer: God or faith will probably be up in the top three answers, right?

Question #2: If I only knew you by your habits, what would I see is most important to you? Would it match what you said?

Answer: 😬

It’s convicting to think about, isn’t it?!

I’m right there with you – we genuinely want to honor God above all else. But where do we ACTUALLY keep Him in our priority chain? Behind sleep? Food? Work? Fun?

My virtual Christian run/walk challenge shines a light on where God really is in your life and challenges you to match your actions with your words.

**Did you know…

When you consistently put God first, it dominoes into every other area of life.

Here’s an example of how this one habit can change your whole lifestyle.

Let’s say you struggle with worry…

  • You commit to a challenge and lean on our accountability group for support.
    • You move and spend time with God every day.
      • God’s Word begins transforming your heart.
      • Fresh air and movement improve your mood and outlook on life.
        • Your mind is saturated with God’s Word, so your thoughts naturally start to turn to it.
        • Family and friends notice your happier moods and feel more at ease around you.
          • You’re more confident and grounded because you know who God says you are.
          • When difficulties come up, your mind is filled with God’s Truth, bringing you to a place of peace and joy.
            • You stop living in fear and live in the abundance of God’s presence with you.
              • You know you’re never alone, there is nothing God can’t handle, and worrying takes a backseat.

Our wonderful friend, Susan, shares how daily walks with God changed her whole life:

“At the end of the first year, I stretched and found a little, local church I was drawn to. There was a specific moment when I had an overwhelming, happy feeling of Jesus' presence and since then I have come to know the Holy Spirit is there to guide me and that God is a loving God!  Which is huge for me!”

This testimony brings tears to my eyes as I remember where Susan came from.

Friend, right now you might be living consumed by fear, worry, or anxiety. It doesn’t have to be that way. God longs to transform you.

Slow Down in this Run/Walk Challenge

I’m not talking about walking slowly.

I’m talking about your busy life. Shuttling kids all over town, participating in every church event (plus some,) making sure everyone is taken care of, always playing catch up. The tough thing is, each of these things is important, necessary, and part of your life.

But the whole time you feel empty inside.

I’ve been there too, and it feels impossible to get out of the hamster wheel. 🥵

A virtual Christian walking challenge forces you to take care of YOU. It’s one single mile per day where you nourish yourself spiritually and physically.

As a mother, wife, and businesswoman myself, I can confidently say… when you prioritize your health and faith daily, you WILL be a better teacher, mother, wife, mentor, colleague, leader, etc.

“But I don’t just have time…”

I hear you, and I’ve felt the same. But you are worth taking care of, and you’re just as important as all the others you care for. Be the leader and friend to yourself that you are to everyone else.

I know it feels impossible to rip 30 minutes out of a packed day to walk. But I guarantee you’ll come back with more courage, hope, and strength than when you dragged yourself out there. 💪

I’m for you, and I’m in this with you.

Your Wake-Up Call

Maybe you’ve been walking with God for a long time, and you’ve slipped into a rut.

Maybe it feels like your faith hit a plateau.

Maybe God seems distant, small, or impersonal.

“I guess all those years I have got into the trap of doing my study for others and not taking the time I needed for myself.” - Scott

Does that sound familiar to you? God is eager to show you that’s not all there is.

Your challenge packet gives you clear guidelines for daily meditation in God’s Word. I encourage you to not only read it but SOAK in it. Let God show you how this applies to your life today. Explore the text even if you’ve read it a million times. God’s Word is always active and working.

After the first challenge, Scott says, “I now read and then really dig to understand what I have read. I have started to put myself in many of the disciples' shoes and wonder if I would have responded as they did or if I would have failed.”

You can change the direction of your story.

The impact doesn’t stop with you.

Scott says, “It also opened the door for me to witness to many I normally would not have talked to when they have asked me about my walking.”

Talk about the ripple effect of following Jesus. Imagine the hope and encouragement Scott gave those people as he explained why he walks every day. 🥹

We have no idea how much God uses a simple daily choice of obedience.

Christian Run/Walk Health Benefits

A Christian walk/run challenge is a great action step to combat many health issues – spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental.

But don’t just take my word for it.

Susan says:

“I am so at peace, I pray/talk to God throughout my day and I'm not worrying about things so much anymore. When that starts to come back, I pray through it. I look each day for all the blessings in my life and let God take control of the rest. I don't feel like I have to control everything anymore.”

*Big sigh.* That sounds like a dream come true. 🥺

Let’s look at some other issues and how a virtual run/walk helps you overcome them. Click the links to see what doctors have to say about it.

Scott says:

“When I get away from the world (be it TV, social media, phone, etc) by walking, I’ll not only draw closer to God, but it also makes me feel so much better physically. Words really cannot express what I have obtained out of these challenges.  I have become more spiritually fit while staying physically fit.”

*Caveat:

I do not recommend a Christian run/walk as a substitute for professional opinions, doctor’s visits, or prescribed medication. God gave us professionals for a reason. Still, I encourage you to give God a chance with the Forty Forty Challenge and see how much of a difference it makes.
