If you’re anything like me, you long to soak up the magical feeling of Christmas you may remember from childhood. Enjoying slow mornings under twinkling lights, sipping a warm drink, remembering the wonder of Jesus’ birth, humming carefree along to classic Christmas tunes.

But as an adult, YOU are now responsible for making all that magic happen! 🥵

There are gifts to buy, cookies to bake, events to plan, decorations to put up, cords to untangle, school programs to attend, parties to host, and a billion other things that MUST be done by December 25. And somewhere between wrapping midnight Christmas presents and forgetting to thaw the Christmas ham, your dream of a slow, intentional Christmas dies.

By the time it’s finally Christmas day, we’re usually frazzled, exhausted, and our last nerve is fried. As a busy mom, wife, and business owner, I know exactly how it feels to be swept away by the chaos of the season. And I do NOT want that to be my Christmas again this year. 😅

What a relief it would be to slow down and reach Christmas Day spiritually filled up instead of worn out and ragged.

That’s why I’m so excited to introduce you to our brand new Advent Challenge 2026: Come and Adore Him – A 25-Day Journey to the Heart of Christmas! 🎉

We created a totally new challenge to give you a special, intentional Christmas. This challenge helps you practically slow down your mind, move your body, and focus your heart on adoring Jesus in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

This is a very special Jesus challenge. Instead of focusing only on the story of Jesus’ birth, we’ll journey all the way from the Old Testament to His birth. This challenge comes with a brand new theme, some beautiful new challenge materials, and a few special surprises.

We believe that if you join us on this 25-day journey to come and adore Him, you’ll reach Christmas Day revived and refueled. 🤩

What is The Virtual Jesus Advent Challenge 2026?

While we often focus on the Christmas story being about a sweet baby in a manger, it’s actually a celebration of SO much more. Christmas is the culmination of God keeping His promises through the ages, proving His faithfulness to make a way for us to know Him personally!

You and I can both look back over our life and point to God’s faithfulness over the years, and it should make us want to respond with worship and awe and gratitude! 🥹

But it’s tough to adore and worship God when shopping lists are racing through your mind and you’re scrambling to remember which day you signed up to bring cookies to the school party.

And listen, there’s nothing wrong with a full calendar! All those events can be wonderful things and bring so much magic and joy to the season. Soak it up! 🤗

But in the midst of all the good things, let’s not lose sight of the greatest thing. (Remember what Jesus said to Martha and Mary? You can read the story here.)

At its core, Christmas is a time to intentionally celebrate God’s unwavering faithfulness over the years and in your life. And He deserves more than the scraps of our attention left over after everything else.

That’s why I created the virtual Jesus Advent Challenge. I’m especially excited about this year’s theme because it takes you on one connected journey of God’s faithfulness, all the way from the promise of a Savior to the fulfillment of that promise in Jesus.

Amid all the things competing for your attention this Christmas season,

👉 He is WORTH beholding.

👉 He is worth celebrating.

👉 And He is more than worthy of your adoration and worship.

What’s Involved In the Virtual Jesus Advent Challenge?

If you’ve done one of our Jesus challenges before, you’ll recognize core elements you know and love: daily scripture, movement, accountability, and daily challenges. BUT, this virtual Advent Challenge is extra special. 😉

If you’re new here, don’t worry! It’s simple and practical for everyone, even those with busy schedules. Here’s how it works. 👇

For 25 days, you’ll follow a short daily routine to help you grow in your adoration of Jesus and slow yourself down for an intentional, worshipful Christmas.

Every day of the challenge includes:

  • Pre-assigned Scripture: 📖 You’ll read a preselected passage of Scripture that takes you from God’s plan for a Savior in Genesis all the way through the birth of Christ.
  • One mile of walking or running OR 20 minutes of movement: 🚶 You get to steward your body for God’s glory as you focus your mind and heart on His Word.
  • A short Advent reflection: 📝 A special devo to help you dig a little deeper into the day’s Scripture and what it reveals about Jesus.
  • Truth to Carry: 🎒 A bite-sized biblical truth you can take from the reading with you into your everyday life.
  • An optional daily challenge: 💪 You can put what you’re learning into real-life practice.

You’ll also be invited to join a private Facebook group to help you stay accountable during the virtual Jesus Advent Challenge. You can participate as much or as little as you like, posting your progress, encouraging others, sharing prayer requests or praises, and building a community with likeminded people.

Each element of the virtual Jesus Advent Challenge helps you adopt a posture of adoration and slow down your body, mind, and soul throughout the bustling Christmas season.

What’s New in This Year's Virtual Jesus Advent Challenge?

One of my favorite things about this year’s Advent Challenge is the new additions to our materials! We carefully designed them to help you bring your experience beyond the daily reading and into your everyday life and family.

Displayable Advent Scripture and challenge cards

  • Displayable Advent Challenge Cards: 📇 This is one of the things we are MOST excited about this year! Each day has a challenge card that can actually be displayed in your home throughout Advent. I want you to feel like you can live out the challenge in your family and home, not just read it in a booklet and put it away. I think you’re going to LOVE these.

King of Kings Advent ornament for 2026

  • King of Kings Advent Ornament: 🎄 This year’s brand new ornament is a keepsake you can hang onto for years to come. I love the idea that it can remind you of how God spoke to you this year and how He drew you closer to Himself. More evidence of His faithfulness over the years. 😉

Two walkers wearing the green Walk With Jesus winter hats

  • Walk With Jesus Winter Hat: ⛄ Of course you’ll need something cute and cozy for those chilly winter walks! This year’s themed hat is both practical and a great conversation starter. Who knows, your walk might open the door to sharing with someone why you’re choosing to walk outside in cold weather and spend time with Jesus!

These are really fun extras, but they’re very intentional. We want to encourage you to carry the heart of Advent from your private time with Jesus into your home, your traditions, and your everyday conversations. Not only during Advent, but even long after the Jesus challenge is over.

Preparing Your Heart for Christmas

Imagine waking up on Christmas morning and feeling present, alive, at peace, a little excited to celebrate Jesus today. A bit like a kid waking up on Christmas. You’re not stressed out or anxious about if everything will go as planned. You feel wonder, awe, and that warm spark of delight. ✨

That’s because you intentionally slowed down and prepared your heart to experience Christmas with the Lord.

  • You spent the last 25 days walking through the story of God’s faithfulness.
  • You made time to meditate on His Word and transported that truth into your busy, everyday life.
  • He gave you new reasons to stand in awe of King Jesus.

And sure, December was probably still packed. 🌪️ The family gatherings still happened and those gifts still needed wrapping. But this time, you made room for you and Jesus to meet and savor the celebration of His faithfulness.

That’s what we hope the virtual Jesus Advent Challenge 2026 will be for you.

Not another thing to check off your Christmas to-do list, but a special daily routine that helps your mind, body, and soul slow down during the season’s frenzy and rest in the presence of God. 🧎

Our hope is that by Christmas Day, you’ll enter the holiday with a newfound sense of awe and adoration because you took the time to gaze on the beauty of Jesus.

We become what we behold.
